Simone Inzaghi reveals he had possibilitiea to work in the premier league both when he was at lazio and inter, but turned them down. 'Nobody can be certain about the future, though'

Inzaghi will face Arsenal at San siro in the champions league on wednesday at 20:00 GMT.

it is going to be the second time this season inter have played an English opponent following a goalless draw away at Machester city.

During his press comference today, the coach was asked if he would ever consider coming to the premier league for work.

"it's very intersting football, all coaches like it. i don't deny that there have been possibilities over last few years, even when i was at Lazio, but i was happy at Lazio and i'm happy at inter," he replied.

this sparked speculation as to who had approached him over those periods, as it was mentioned many times that he was on the Manchester United wish-list over the summer before they decided to stick it out for little longer with Eric ten hag.

there had been also reports of chelsea, Newcastle united and Tottenahm Hotspur interest over the years.

the 48 year old former striker is the younger brother of ex Milan striker Fillipo Inzaghi and has been coaching since 2016 at Lazio, moving to inter in the summer of 2021 and he has won one seria title, three coppa italia and five supercoppa italiana
