Champions League: Real Madrid beaten at home by Ac Milan

Real madrid's qualification for the knockout stage of the champions league suffered a major setback as they were beaten 3-1 at home to Ac Milan.

the defeat leaves Real madrid with six point from it's four matches in the tournament, with a visit to play Liverpool at Anfield next on the agenda, and more than the result, coach Carlo Ancelotti will be worried by a poor perfomance from his side, who had a rest at the weekend


the game was just 12 minutes away when Malick Thiaw put Milan ahead with near post finish from a corner that was poorly defended by the homes side and Real madrid reacted welland was level after only just 23 minutes when VAR decided that there is a penalty commited against vinicius jr by Emmerson, who left his foot high to bring down the winger.

vinicius picked himself up and scored with a chipped penalty into the middle of the Milan goa.

on may occasions, Real madrid goes on to overwhelm rivals. but Milan didn't allow themselves to be intimidated by the equalizer, and after Tijan Reijinders forced a fine save from Andrly lunin, spain international restored their lead.

after that Real madrid coach Carlo brought on Edouardo Camavinga and Brahim Diaz st halftime but it didn't help him much with Leao wasting counter attacks and Morata hitting woodwor, before Reijnders made it 3-1 from close range after a powerful run down on the left from Leao.

Italian side Ac Milan have recovered after losing their opening two champions league games of 2024-2025 by recording successive wins to match Real Madrid's record in the competition so far of two wins and two defeats from four games.
